I use these jig heads all the time. I have caught everything from pan fish to baby northern, to large mouth bass with these jigs and a twister tail grub. I seem to have better luck with the unpainted jig heads than painted ones. Plus no stubborn paint to clear out of the eye before you can tie on.

Great Jigheads!

I love to paint my own jigheads, and Cabela's has made that possible. I bought these without ever buying Cabela's brand jigheads before. I've had bad luck with my jigheads breaking while fighting big walleyes or catfish. I have to use the small size because we're primarily after crappie. When the occasional walleye or big cat bites we're in for a luck of the draw on what brand jighead I have on. After getting the jigheads shipped in, I painted them, tied them to my line, and headed out for a day of crappie fishing on the creek. I hooked into a few white bass, and a couple crappies. Finally the jighead was tested with about a 5lb channel cat. It held its own, and i was happy with my purchase. Soon after I thought I was hooked on a log, when the log started running up river. I thought now this will really test this jighead. As I hoped it was a state record walleye, after a 30 minute fight, what I reeled in was a 25lb carp. Jighead still in tact, and was casted out to catch more fish. I'll buy nothing but Cabela's jigheads from now on. As always Cabela's has provided a superior item, and it was easy to obtain via Cabelas.com.
