Awesome, that pretty much sums it up
Date:
I've been doing jerky for quite some time now, slicing used to be what I always had my friends do. I would always do the rest, because it was such a pain in the rear to do. I wasn't wanting to spend the full price so waited until it was on sale. I can honestly say it's going to have the highest return on investment of any cooking items I've purchased. Slicing is a breeze now. I'm giving four stars only because I wish it would go up to two inches so a full goose breast or deer backstrap could be fed into it without having to thin it down first. If this one were to break today, I'd order another tomorrow.

Manual Jerky Slicer
Date:
I'm one of these guys that reads the reviews on a product before I buy it. It pays off to do a little research before investing in a product. I did this with the jerkey slicer. The reviews for the most part were very positive so I purchased one. The best investment I have made for my deer processing to date. For years I have used a meat slicer to cut the meat into strips and was a long messy process. I did 15 pounds of meat with the jerky slicer in 10 minutes and the strips were perfect. Follow the directions and don't go over the recommended 1" thickness. For best results make sure the meat is firm. Others report they partially freeze the meat first which can only help the slicing process.
