Columbia’s Bugaboo line has long been favored by winter sports enthusiasts. Rightly so. The combined technologies equal potent winter protection. The 100% nylon Omni-Tech® shell is impervious to moisture with strategically sealed seams. Inside, Radiant™ Mesh II and polyester MTR™ Fleece add both warmth and superior moisture-wicking properties. A removable, adjustable hood is included. Liner color varies by shell color. Imported.

Im satisfied with the performance and versitility of this jacket. when you remove the liner it can be worn in the fall and spring. Its fits well, looks stylish, and has a comfortable feel to it. The only draw back i have experienced is when the liner is zipped in it does bunch up when you put it on and take it off, which i find annoying at times, other wise i like thejacket.

OK. Today we had a blizzard 26" wind blowing in gusts up to 55-60 mph. 20 inches of snow.
In other words a perfect day to test the Bugaboo out.
I layered clothing with a sweatshirt plus a velour pullover and the bugaboo to cap it off. I was removing snow with a snowblower very slowly.So I did not produce much body heat. The bugaboo held off the wind great.And it kept me dry. Movement was not restricted past what you would expect with all those layers. However it did allow a draft in my waist area that became a little uncomfortable when bending over to shovel. All in all it kept me warm but because of the cold waist issue I'm giving it 4 stars.
I would buy it again as the weather was extreme however I would recommend a one piece long john if spending the day outdoors with this coat.

Columbia Jacket - no wind protection

I almost never write a bad review, but I had to in this case. I bought this parka to replace a 10 year old Columbia parker I got at Cabela's. It was great but the zipper finally went.
I was excited to get this parka, and took it skiing as I did the last one. What a big mistake. We didn't get 100 yards up the ski lift before my entire torso was cold from the wind.
I am hugely disappointed. I guess they don't make them like they used to. I will be returning it.

Ths is my second Colombia Jacket, the first one I purchased in 1997, the zippers have finally worn out and I had a chance to get a new one. This jacket is wonderful. I have rough hands and hate it when my fingers catch up in the pockets. This jacket has great fleece lined pockets. Oh ya by the way Colombia said that they would replace my zippers on my old jacket. Just a wonderful company!!!
