Its 100% cotton-canvas shell is waxed for down-protecting water-resistance and is built for puncture-preventing ruggedness. This nearly bulletproof jacket includes many customer-requested features such as two zippered inside chest pockets, a heavy-duty zip-up front, an ultrawarm Outfitter Camo™ Berber-fleece collar, smooth nylon lining and zippered handwarmer pockets. This is high quality down coat. The waxed cotton is lighter and more flexible than I expected and works well to cut the wind while the down keeps you very warm. It keeps me warm while at sub-zero temperatures (-20 with wind chill), with just a t-shirt underneath. The outside pockets are insulated and keep your hands warm. The only thing I would want is a hood.

This is an awesome product and so is the vest.
I make my lively hood in the outdoors every day. This coat rocks!!! I wear it everyday in the winter from dragging deer out to running a chainsaw and carrying wood in or hunting geese in a corn field. It can handle it all. I'm ordering another one just to have but I don't believe this one will ever wear out. Keep up the great work cabelas

This coat was put through a REAL test - Canadian winter conditions (it passed). The quality of this coat is typical of Cabela's products - excellent! Very warm, it sizes very well, well made. If it works up here, it will work anywhere down there! :-)

Good Coat

I have had this coat almost a year now and I am very pleased with it. I certainly don't wear it everyday, but i do wear it back and forth to the office in the winter, as well as when i am outdoors (getting wood in, riding the ATV, etc). I have not seen the cuff issues that others have reported, perhaps that has since been corrected? It does lose a little down, but only a tiny feather here and there, and i have not seen many down items that don't do that some small extent.
