This jacket is very warm and comfortable and is not bulky or heavy. It is also very nice looking- my wife even gave me a compliment which is very unusual! You could wear this thing hunting or you could easily wear it out for a night on the town. I feel the price is pretty reasonable for a real wool garment which is usually terribly expensive. I like the fact that there is zero itch as it has a very soft and cozy fleece lining on the interior. I also like the fact that it has several pockets and they all have zippers so you will not lose things! The cell phone pocket is just another nice bonus! Collar can stand up to keep you extra warm if needed. Fit is true to size. I have not found any problems in terms of piling or balling up as other reviewers have claimed. Appears very well made. I have never had a problem whatsoever with Cabela's taking an item back if it doesn't hold up so there is nothing to lose here. This is a great sweater and I like it so much that I am getting another one in a different color!

This has a rich quality feel and look to it. The wool/poly blend material is indeed very warm.
It is unfortunate that I will have to agree with another reviewer that there is a problem with the fabric "balling" up. This is the case with mine even under light occasional use, and not having even washed it yet. I wish I knew a remedy for this, but I do not!
On a side note the jacket is a bit short, especially in the front. I was disappointed that it does not cover many of my shirts. The fact that it is outerwear, coupled with the price, should have allowed a more generous fit.
Altogether it does look great with the right clothes and it is incredibly comfortable and warm. At the current sale price I would still recommend it, although it might only last a season or two.

nice when new, weeks later not so nice

I have purchased lots of Cabelas brand items before and this one really caught my eye. I was looking for a fleece or wool jacket for work and this one seemed to fit the bill. The looks of this jacket where great and the material seemed to be to, but after just a couple of weeks it started balling up everywhere, now just a few months old the whole thing is balling up. It looks to be years old and doesn't look very good anymore. I can see why this jacket is almost half the price now as it did not live up to the Cableas name, now in search of a new one.

Just a great piece of clothing ... stand alone with shirt or as a layer under a jacket. Very functional weight and warmth. Looks great with jeans or khakis. Like the fleece lining, warm pockets, chest pocket for cell phone.
