Sub-Troll 900 Downrigger Speed & Temp Sensor

The Sub-Troll 900 tells you the exact speed of your lure and the water temperature at its running depth. The ST-900 consists of only three interacting parts: the display readout, the antenna and the sending unit. The sending unit attaches to the downrigger cable, and the display unit may be installed up to 25 ft. from the downrigger. Easy to install, does not require transducers or grounding rods. It also has an illuminated display screen. Made in USA.

Installation instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. All hardware/wiring and coated wire was provided. I bounced it on the bottom @ 130' yesterday and it never lost a signal. It is surprising to see how the speed differs vs direction as compared to the GPS speed.

I recently purchased this for my mag 20 riggers. So far I have been unable to get it to work properly. I have been in contact with Hummingbird techs,They thought it was a bad cable. Tried a new cable,no luck, They are working on the problem,Hopefully
a solution will be coming soon! It would be a great asset if it works!

Installed ok. Quite a bit of drag through the water. Use a 12# ball. Unit quit working after four hours, battery dead already. Unit did not give correct speed. Needs to be calibrated. Not happy with performance. Reviewed installation instructions, installed correctly.
