Cabela's Warrior II Waders - Stout

The original Warrior Waders became such a favorite among die-hard waterfowlers, we brought them back in a new updated style that’s still every bit as rugged and reliable as its predecessor. Just like the originals, the Warrior II is constructed of rugged microdenier nylon with a waterproof, breathable layer of Dry-Plus®. The legs are shielded by a layer of 1.5mm neoprene with a durable, 900-denier nylon outer layer. This innovative fabric combination retains warmth as efficiently as 3mm neoprene while minimizing weight and preventing perspiration build-up. A layer of 1,000-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation in the rubber boots surrounds your feet in warmth. Aggressive rubber lug soles provide the traction needed for safe hunting in icy and muddy conditions. The reconfigured chest pocket combines an insulated handwarmer pocket with a spacious storage pocket for calls and shells. The fully adjustable elastic suspenders cinch down for a snug, secure fit.

Great Waders

I've had a pair of these for about 8 years and I really like that they are so light and they have proven very durable. I hunt mostly ponds and cornfields in Kentucky and in Illinois, Union County and Horseshoe Lake. I use these through the entire season and I hunt hunt at least twice a week. Last year I patched a small hole in a crease point in the boot and this year I patched a neoprene hole on the inside pant leg near the knee. I've never been cold in them. Thick wool socks and Cabelas heavy fleece wader pants are the usual, I add neoprene and silk sock liners when it goes below 10 degrees. I'm not sure why people still buy 5mm, they weigh a ton. These are very comfortable, very warm and very durable waders; that's why I just ordered my next pair and if I need to replace them in eight years, I hope they are still selling them!

Although I've only used these waders five or six times for steelheading so far. I'm pleased. They are durable, breathable, and warm. Unlike my neoprene waders my legs are dry when I take them off. For what they cost they better last 3 years or Cabelas will get them back.

Great Waders for Varing Temps

These waders are great for the run and gun hunters. We hunt on public land and need to walk alot and move around. They are light and easy to pack into the woods where we hunt. The only thing is the material above the boots will tear after some rough hunting. It does not affect the waders, but is does concern me about the durability of the waders.

appear to be quite tough (time will tell) very light to wear in comparison to some, neoprene in legs and seat are seem quite warm in +4 C. weather , fit very well,though the boot fit is a bit larger then I expected (ok) alows for an extra pair of socks if ever needed! Dry-plus seems to help a lot with moisture..
