Cabela's Warrior II Waders - Regular

  • 1.5mm neoprene legs with 900-denier outer layer
  • Dry-Plus waterproof, breathable upper half
  • Innovative fabric that minimizes weight
  • Prevents perspiration build-up
  • 1000-gram insulation for warmth
The original Warrior Waders became such a favorite among die-hard waterfowlers, we brought them back in a new updated style that’s still every bit as rugged and reliable as its predecessor. Just like the originals, the Warrior II is constructed of rugged microdenier nylon with a waterproof, breathable layer of Dry-Plus®. The legs are shielded by a layer of 1.5mm neoprene with a 900-denier nylon outer layer. This innovative fabric combination retains warmth as efficiently as 3mm neoprene while minimizing weight and preventing perspiration build-up. A layer of 1,000-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation in the rubber boots surrounds your feet in warmth. Aggressive rubber lug soles provide the traction needed for safe hunting in icy and muddy conditions. The reconfigured chest pocket combines an insulated handwarmer pocket with a spacious storage pocket for calls and shells. The fully adjustable elastic suspenders cinch down for a snug, secure fit.
Men’s whole sizes - regular: 8-14.
Camo patterns: Realtree MAX-4™, Mossy Oak® Duck Blind®.

Warm and cozy
Date:
These are very nice waders, i was so exicted when the came in the mail, it was about mid season for waterfowl, up on the bear river, and the water was cold and i had some old winchester waders and my feet got so cold and it was so miserable, i couldnt even walk to pick up decoys, so thats when i decieded to make the switch these waders are amazing there easy to walk in, great traction on ice, when you slide your foot in, you just feel surrounded by like a blanket and you can bend over, crotch over and there flexible, great pockets for your hands when there cold, the only problem is the straps i wish the had the soft cloth over them but other than that there terrific best waders owened.

Great product needs a little more refinement
Date:
I purchased these waders after returning several pair of redheads to my local bass pro store. I believe the quality and workmanship to be superior to the redheads. I walked about 7 miles in these the first time I used them. The boots fit well and were very comfortable. I am very hot natured so these were a welcome change after using neoprene. Temperature was in the high 20s low 30s and I never got cold. I think the design is great, but they need a little refinement. The D rings are mounted too low, so my shell holder hung at my crotch. I shaped it to the suspenders and had no more issues. The big problem with these is the nylon over the neoprene. It should come down all the way over the boot. It also does not stretch so it left me feeling very constricted. I am a tall guy at 6-4, so I could really use a couple more inches in length. I think the nylon should be attached to top of boot with elastic to give it some stretch. They were dry all day until I got into water over my waist. I belive that seems are not strong enough to hold up to all the stress that is put on them by the inflexibility of the nylon leading to a failure in one of the crotch seams. Cabellas sent me another pair that I have used once with no leaks, but I haven't put them through the paces that the fist pair went through yet. I will post again after I have stressed them out a bit. If they don't leak I plan on moving d rings up and adding some elastic to bottom where nylon attaches to give them a little flex. This is a great design with the best of both worlds as far as neoprene goes. I liked the pocket, although the shell holder is not really quickly accessible, but as I stated earlier I use a clip on shell holder anyway. Some belt loops would be nice as well.

Not just for warm weather
Date:
I am on my 3rd pair, originally bought them for the early season, found out they were great for the entire season. I find the hidden holes off the beaten path and put on alot of miles. I was wearing out a pair of 5mm neopreens every other year. My last pair of warriors lasted me 4 seasons and I hunt 30 days plus a year. When it's cold, 20 and under, underarmer, wader pants and heavy socks w/ toe warmers keep me toasty all day.

I don't know
Date:
I bought these waders to be cooler than neoprene, and they are, barely. I've been wearing them for our teal season and they work but I am concerned about how long they will last because of all the seams, which seem like a lot of them to me. They are supposed to be(at least to me) a lighter pair of waders, but Cabela's put 1000 weight boot on them. The boots on all of cabela's waders (of which I have three) are bloody HUGE and are not very well fitted, at least not my foot and this pair is 2 sizes smaller than my normal shoe size. The chest pouch is so small I find it pretty useless, and the waders d-rings are so low, when I clip my pouch to them it hangs at leg level. I have considered Cabela's waders to be a good value for the money, they aren't the most expensive in town, thats for sure, but i am pretty dissapointed in these, but not enough to send them back.
