Cabela's Neoprene 5mm Realtree MAX-4® Stockingfoot - Stout

  • Reverses to brown color

  • Comfortable three-piece foot construction
  • Double-layer knees
  • Built-in suspenders with quick-release buckles

These tough 5mm Stockingfoot Stout neoprenes have been sized for the more stout hunter and are the only waders you’ll need to take you from winter to spring. All seams are glued, stitched and taped for protection against leakage. We use three-piece construction in the foot area so the bootie won’t bunch up, providing you more comfort. The bottoms of the feet are reinforced with high-density, low-compression neoprene so they will last. A handwarmer pocket on the chest warms your hands in chilly conditions. Built-in adjustable suspenders allow you to customize your waders to fit you perfectly. Slip-on gravel guards keep sharp objects out of your shoes for protection against punctures.

Almost TOO good. lol
Date:
I made the MISTAKE of wearing these waders on opening day, which ended up being over 60 degrees. These waders are WARM. Once the weather got cold enough, I started wearing them again, and they provide exactly what a 5mm wader should. I am NEVER cold, at least not while moving. The only disadvantage, is that Neoprene doesn't breathe, and I SWEAT when exercising, so once I quit moving, I get a little cold from being soaking wet inside my waders-even when I haven't been out in the water. Have had them out in deep COLD water, and never felt any leaks, so I know it is ME and not the waders that is responsible for the moisture. Stout may be a bit of an understatement, I am 6' 1" and 250lbs, and these are still big enough for me to wear two to three layers on the bottom, and multiple layers on the top, including my coat INSIDE the waders. Don't usually wear my coat inside, but chest deep water makes for a wet coat if I don't put it there temporarily. In short, No stupid rubber boots to rot out, tear up, or crack, and everything else exactly as it should be, hope they still sell them the next time I need waders.

So far, so good
Date:
So far there are no failures...and I'm extremely tough on waders. The fit is ok for my body shape. An improvement for this wader (or any other), is shoulder strap lanyards to keep the straps from disappearing over your shoulders and down the your back for those times when you need unbuckle to lose some recycled coffee.

Would like to see a little more durability
Date:
Not a bad set of waders, but would like to see a little more durability. Used them for the latest duck season with a lot of walking to jump ducks in canals surrounded by brush (slat cedars). I have had to patch three areas and I am getting a little leakage around the seams in the stockingfoot area and will reseal in the offseason. Not bad for the price.

Good waders, need a little improvement
Date:
I used these waders all through duck season. Had some input for the next new and improve stocking waders. First I would put armor flex all over the neoprene to make them more durable, also I would insulate the stocking foot more, so your feet don't freeze. Last but not lease the straps need improvement on part were they snap together and cushion on them.. When you go to shoot sometimes the part of wader that snaps together gets in the way.. Overall good waders, no leaks yet, might suggest using heated socks for those low to minus degree days.
