Dual hydration compartments and large side pockets
The strength and efficient design of this sturdy compact pack are amazing. During design testing, a duffel containing 100 lbs. of sand was attached to a X2 using its built-in compression straps and it performed well – indicating you can use it to pack out large deer or elk quarters effectively. The X2 is also compatible with Eberlestock’s side scabbards for shotguns and rifles or its ARCG ButtBucket™ bow carrier (scabbards and bow carrier not included). The pack’s tough, lightweight tubular-aluminum frame supports its waterproof microfleece and 1,000-denier nylon material shell. A long, padded waistbelt and large, accessible pockets enhance comfort and convenience. There are dual hydration compartments and side pockets large enough to accommodate spotting scopes and tripods. The ample FlexChasis™ can flip forward for use as a seat and cradles the loads you carry. Padlock webbing tie points are placed in key locations for attaching accessories and lashing on gear. The special Shooter Harness makes firing a gun and carrying heavy loads more comfortable. Imported. Capacity: 1,800 cu. in. Weight: 4-1/2 lbs. Camo patterns: Western, Mossy Oak Break-Up® Infinity™.
This pack is hands down the best pack i have ever used. It is a great daypack with a ton of features and doubles as a great meat hauler.
I hunt elk, muleys and sheep in the mountains of NM. A typical day in the mountains involves 5-6 miles of hiking mostly up and downhill.
Everything about this pack was extremely well thought out. The aluminum frame can handle a lot of weight comfortably. I have found that if you can strap it on there, you can carry it comfortably.
One suggestion, When you get your pack, take out the yellow aluminum frame and wrap it in some sort of wrap. The frame will start to squeak once you use it in the field and it gets dusty. The wrap will silence the squeaking.
All in all, this is a GREAT pack. IF your looking for a new pack that can carry anything you can strap onto it while being lightweight at the same time, get the Eberlestock X2. you wont regret it.
