The versatility of this rugged pack is nothing short of spectacular. Built on Eberlestock’s "Go in light, come out heavy" concept, with one zipper the Dragonfly converts from a 2,900-cu-in. day pack to a 4,500-cu.-in. hauling specialist. The exterior is super-tough, supple, and water-resistant NT-1 microfleece that’s quiet in any weather. There’s an integrated gun scabbard for a rifle that can be tucked away when not in use. The pack can also be configured to carry a bow. A fully molded back panel, special load-supporting flex chassis, dual aluminum stays and load-lifter straps help support and stabilize heavy loads. Horizontal and vertical straps combine to hold the load close to your body for stability. The breathable padded mesh back panel promotes ventilation. A fully adjustable torso ensures a comfortable, custom fit. Side pockets are large enough for a spotting scope and tripod. The removable top lid converts to a hydration compatible lumbar pack, and the main compartment is also hydration compatible (bladders not included). Configures for bow carry. Imported. Carry weight: 9 lbs. 6 oz. Camo patterns:Mossy Oak® Brush®, Advantage MAX-4 HD®, Western (not shown).
I am an experiences ed back country hunter and have and used many top quality packs. In my opinion there is no perfect pack. That said this pack is good. I have haled three elk and two dear out on this pack and have had no problem with it. I have put elk quarters on my back with gear and this pack has haled up. It is the most comfortable pack for haling heave loads that I have used.
After 5 miles at 75#'s and over 30 miles at 35 #'s I still love this pack. It took a bit to get it fit right but the adjustment is there you just have to figure it out. The pack is heavy but well built, sturdy and comfortable.
Bought this pack for a Dall sheep hunt in the Brooks range of Alaska. It carries heavy loads great, and stays snug to your body. It's weight makes up in comfort when loaded.Great pack.
