I purchased this pack in 1994, one of the first years it was available. I still use it SEVERAL times a year backpacking on scouting trips, to extended stay backpack hunts across the rocky mountains. I have packed upwards of 200lbs on this pack for miles on pack outs with one trip carrying an entire cow elk {minus half of one front quarter that was shot} in one trip! { 2 miles in knee deep snow}. This pack has NEVER let me down in any way! I cannot say Thank You enough to Cabelas for building a lifetime pack! Holds everything you want to carry and has room to spare. The only downfall is its a little heavy empty. But that's because of its size. Good pack, NO, THOR'S PACK!
Outstanding pack I used it for my elk hunting trips and was never disapointed. We pack in about ten miles and the pack was by far the most comfortable I have used. When packing out I was able to load it with a front and rear quarter (not de-boned) and the frame handled everything I threw at it.. I'm sure I'll wear out before the pack does.
I live in oregon and hunt the minam wilderness for elk and I pack out a bull this year six miles so I can say this pack is one of the best I've ever used period!
