Got a few of these with bulk ammo purchases and I like them so much I ordered more. I live near the ocean and have issues with high humidity and rust. The only metal part is the latch loop which is brass so it won't rust. A seemingly minor but actually very impressive detail. This should give the box a pretty long life.
And as long as you don't overload it (they ARE plastic folks!), the box is plenty strong enough.

Good Value for Dry Storage

I purchased two of these dry-storage ammo boxes and filled them when I got home. I see no issues with the boxes bending or bowing under the weight. The handle is sturdy and the boxes nest on each other when stacked. I plan to buy two more on my next trip to Cabela's.

Like the title says. This plastic box is for dry storage and is not waterproof. I looked at the underside where the handle was and you can see it has the base of the handle visible. The box has over 880 rounds of 7.62 x 54R ammunition and it weighs 54lbs. There is no issue with the handle or the sides of the box bowing when lifted like other customers have commented. I plan on buying another box to store my cleaning supplies and bench bags when I go to the shooting range. I recommend this for what it is; a good all purpose dry storage box.
