For the 1100, 11-87, 870 and the SP-10 Magnum models of shotgun, Remington offers quality factory replacement barrels. Most feature RemChoke stainless steel screw-in choke tubes - Imp. Cyl., Modified and Full - with each barrel. Steel shot barrel with Full Choke tube only.
All barrels for the Model 1100 have 2-3/4" chambers (except steel shot barrel). When steel shot barrel is used with non-magnum receiver, you can shoot 2-3/4" magnum lead or steel or 3" magnum steel shotshells. DO NOT USE 3" magnum lead. Used with a magnum receiver, you can shoot 2-3/4" magnum or 3" magnum steel or lead shotshells. 1100 20-ga. lightweight barrels do not fit pre-1977 20-ga. guns with serial numbers ending in "X" or "N".
Model 870 barrels with 3" chambers will fit both magnum and 2-3/4" receivers and will handle both 2-3/4" and 3" shells with a magnum receiver. (An M at the end of the serial number = magnum receiver.) Use only 2-3/4" shells when barrels are used on 2-3/4" receivers. 870 Special Field barrels and other model
870 barrels are not interchangeable. The 20-ga. lightweight barrels will not fit
20-ga. standard guns.
Model 11-87 and 1100 barrels are not interchangeable. 11-87 barrels shorter than 26" are not equipped with a pressure-compensating gas system. They function with 2-3/4" magnum or 3" magnum shotshells only.
