Big compartments keep hooks organized on trips or at the bench. Tight-fitting lid guarantees hooks won't drift to other compartments. Curved compartment bottoms for easy hook removal. Also great for storing beads, blades, etc. Available: 10 compartment or 20 compartment.
The fly box was as described in the catalog and will fit my needs perfectly. It came damaged and customer service was great taking care of it immediately. In fact delivery was very quick on both of them. That's why I buy Cabela's. Good product and they take care of the customer. Indiana Lou
I started out with one of these boxes and now have four, and all but one are filled with hooks and beads. I am by no means a pro fly tyer, but even tying only 15-20 patters in 4-5 different sizes on 4-5 different style hooks will quickly fill more than one of these boxes.
I would very strongly recommend the 20 compartment box over the ten compartment version unless you have some really compelling need for the smaller box. Not only is the cost per compartment a lot less, buy the chance of spilling over the box is much less. The lid hinge on both versions is thin strip of plastic that isn't too flexible. On the ten compartment version that means that opening the lid can cause the box to flip over backwards, spilling the contents.
In the 20 compartment version, the back row really keeps the box stabilized when lifting up the front lid.
I love the curved bottom. great for organizing different types of hooks, Dry Fly, Nymph, etc. they have enough compartment to store diffrent sizes. A must for all fly tiers
