These hooks are reliable. We like to use them for tying Saltwater flies. They are durable and last a full season. The only draw back to them is that they could be a little sharper, but most hooks need to be sharpened.

I've used these hooks attached together to hold whole squid on my Fluke rigs. I've never had one of these hooks fail. You have to open the eye up a little to get it over the barb and then close it with pliers or a vise after you put the two hooks together. A little bit of work with fantastic results. Mike Jr.

I real like this hook for tying saltwater flies. Best pice compared to other big chain stores and they rarely have it in stock.
