These Standard Dry Fly hooks are made of high-carbon content steel with a high-tech lazer sharp process that yields sharp, smooth and strong hooks. This hook has a Lazer Sharp point for the ultimate in sharpness. Round bend, light wire, down eye. Per 100. Made in USA.

I bought these hooks while trying to save money. I had always used Mustad and TMC but these hooks are pretty good quality for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend them to anyone looking around for some new hooks.

I'VE BEEN TYING FLIES FOR 60 YEARS. I USED ANOTHER BRAND HOOK FOR MOST OF THOSE YEARS. I FOUND EAGLE CLAW BRAND HOOKS VERY COMPARABLE AND LESS EXPENSIVE. THEY ARE WELL CONSTRUCTED.

good dry fly hook

As a professional fly tier I am always looking for ways to shave my overhead on materials. Eagle Claw has always made excellent hooks and the standard for traditional steelhead flies. The L059 has a slightly longer shank than the Mustad, but not enough to upset the balance of the fly, and it's half the price.
