Eagle Claw L055 Scud Hook

These hooks are designed with high carbon content steel. The high-tech lazer sharp process yields sharp, smooth and strong hooks. This hook is used for tying scud, caddis larva, San Juan Worms, Midge larva, etc. Curved shank, down eye, bronze. Per 100. Made in USA.

I've been buying these for years, and I have had great success with them. With the scud pattern I typically tie, I've caught countless nice fish, and I don't worry about them breaking.

Wire too light

I tie and use zebra midges almost exculsively for my trout fishing. These hooks are not made with a heavy enough wire for any abuse at all. I am constantly rebending the hook to the original shape. I am normally all for the cheaper product but in this case go with another with a little heavier wire.
