    A great hook

    I've been doing up some salmon flies with this hook, as we used a fly like this pattern in Alaska for silvers, and the hook was great. Hooks well, is strong, and has a great sharp point. I asked the charter captain what hook he used, and he gave me this recommendation. If it's good enough for an Alaskan charter boat, it's good enough for me. The price is right, too. We're going back to Seward this summer, and will hope to be there for the red salmon run. I feel confidant that the hook won't fail me, even if my choices of where to fish may fail me. We're not going with a guide or charter this time.

    Good Solid Hook

    Good hook for the money. As good as more expensive hooks. Used to tie up big buggers and streamers for bass this spring.

    This is a long hook! I fish a lot of Egg Sucking Leech patterns. An ESL is tied as though it has a Wolly Bugger body with a glow bug in front. This hook is simply great for this as the shank has the room for a standard WB body and the egg. No trying to cram things together anymore on a 3XL hook. Very good hook quality at an attractive price makes this an excellent value. These reside in my hook selections as a staple.
