Two fun melodies play alternately when the action starts. The Black Forest lodge’s roof is covered with detailed, hand-spliced, hand-laid shingles. Wooden bird, dial, numbers and hands. Very nice watch. A great gift for your neighbors. I recommend it as a fairy tale forest. The Germans are great watchmakers. Cuckoo cheated just paint the beak.

This is our second cuckoo clock from Cabela's...very pleased with all the details and functions, from the wood chopping guy to the dancers, the spinning mill wheel, all the carvings, even the doggie! The cuckoo and the music box both have a very pleasant tone.
As stated in our review of our first clock from here, we are collectors, and know our cuckoo clocks very well. The particular cuckoo clock factory in the Black Forest of Germany who makes these clocks for Cabela's is among the list of the finest. You are getting a genuine handcrafted work of art as well as an amazing precision time piece!
