500 holster

I bought this holster and cartridge slide for my 6 1/2 inch Smith and Wesson 500. The gun fits the holster well, the snap holds the gun tight but is easy to operate. I had to buy the 8 3/8 length as no one offers the 6 1/2 inch version however the extra length has not been a problem.

I have used this with my 460 S&W for 2 rifle seasons so far and it is working great.
This is a no frills holster that for the $$ you can't beat it.
It is a little tight on the cylinder and you need to use 2 hands to get it in or 1 hand and in take all your fingers but comes out clean and does not mess with the rear sight. - I am very happy with it!

Great hip holster for the price, However the leather was a little stiff untill applying a few rounds of mink oil to soften it up. This helped in shaping and water proofing the leather as well.
