it a great holster for the gun i have a Few different brands. Some are shoulder slings and different hip holsters.this holster is my best one for the s&w 500. it holds the weight well,some times i forget it is on. it is good quailty snap and leather.

I am very please with this purchase; the holster has preformed excellent without any problems at all. The snap functioned extremely well; I felt that the gun was both secure and that access was very easy.

Smith & Wesson 500 Leather Belt Holster \u2013 4"

It's not easy to make a 3 lb + pistol comfortable to carry, but this holster took the load and kept it snug. Long days walking over tundra can wear ya out...ya don't need a pistol riding in the wrong place to make it any more difficult than it is.
