In the early 1900s, men of the Pacific Northwest prized wool Pendleton shirts for their durability, warmth and comfort. Pendleton shirts were synonymous with unsurpassed quality and craftsmanship. It’s the same today, more than 75 years since the first Pendleton woven wool plaid shirt was produced. You still find the same rich tradition, the unsurpassed quality, the uncompromising craftsmanship in every stitch along with outstanding comfort. They are made of 10-oz.-per-sq.-yd. machine-washable wool. Imported.

good shirt but not as described

So this is my first pendelton shirt and I love it but it is not what I expected. Calling it a heavy wieght shirt is a bit decieving You can see light through the wool when you hold it up. Also, I orded the white plaid color and when I got it I thought there was a mistake. It is green. Again, I really like it but I think the older Pendeltons were made with a higher standard of quality.

I'm smart enough not to machine wash wool regardless of the instructions. Plus it will always look good with dry cleaning. This shirt is very rugged and comfortable, used it while hunting and backpacking in Colorado mtns. Even my teenage son wanted one because of the warmth that they provide. While it's a little pricey, it's well worth it.

I HAVE PURCHASED 4 PENDELTON SHIRTS FROM CABELAS. THEY ARE THE WARMEST SHIRTS I HAVE EVER WORN. THEY ARE EASY TO MAINTAIN AND KEEP THEIR SHAPE. I STILL HAVE THE 1ST ONE I BOUGHT OVER 30 YEARS...THEY TRULY LAST FOREVER. GREAT PRICE AT CABELAS.

We laundered the shirt according to label instructions. Did not put in dryer. After first and only wash, shirt shrunk 2-3 sizes. Returned to Cablelas for replacement. Second shirt shrunk very same after one wash. Have returned to Cabelas for refund. Very disappointed as previously owned Pendleton shirts were of much better quality.
