Peltor Tactical 6 Stereo Long Ear Hearing Device

Get the hearing protection you need and the sound amplification you want with the new Tactical 6. This unit effectively reduces hazardous noises from firearms to harmless levels within two milliseconds and suppresses any sounds over 82dB. But normal conversation and range commands remain perfectly audible. Independent volume controls on each ear cup let you customize amplification while the stereo microphones enhance sound localization. Folding design stores easily in your shooting bag, and it has a regular headband. This unit weighs only 8.8 oz. Operates for up to 200 hours on four AAA batteries (not included).

Great Protection and Convenience

I bought the Peltor Tactical 6 after trying out my father's and at his recommendation. I bought one pair for me, and one for my wife and son. They protect our hearing, whether at our indoor range or outside, yet the microphones are sensitive enough and the adjustable volume makes it considerably more convenient to talk to one another without having to remove them. We would definitely buy again and recommend them to our friends. I give them 5 stars. My only recommendation would be to slightly improve the NRR. As I said, they work really well, but I wouldn't mind a little more reduction. Doing so, however, would likely require making them bigger. We really like the slim size.

Great Hearing Protection

I purchased the Peltor Tactical 6 Stereo unit for use at the shooting range. I am a 63 year old man with less than stellar hearing and the Peltor Unit really helped me. I can clearly hear people talking around me which makes it safer for me to be on the range. Yet the supression of gunfire level noise is excellent and I experienced no discomfort at all. I would strongly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a set of range sound suppression headphones! A great buy.

Batteries are a hassle to change which is the only reason for the 4 stars vs 5
