What a buy
Date:
This is one bright light. I can't believe I got this much light for so little money. It's comfortable and bright enough on the low setting for most of my needs. As previously mentioned the on/off switch is too easy to activate but I just leave the batteries out when I put the light in the pack. Problem solved!

Good lamp
Date:
I got the lamp for a Christmas gift 3 years ago. I am a heavy duty technician and use this lamp constantly. This is a tough lamp that stood up to tough use. I was in Ely Nevada snowstorms for a month straight with not one problem whatsoever. Hit the switch and the light came on every time, without fail. Even strapped it around my hardhat, dropped it in mud, snow, stepped on it, just could not make it fail. One minor drawback was the switch on the battery pack that would get bumped on. Fixed that by removing the switch. Good lamp.

I Plan To Buy A Couple More

As others have said already, the On/Off button was poorly thought-out. It's easy to hit that button when it's getting jostled around inside your pack. Despite that, I still would recommend this light. Just find a creative way to protect that button.
It balances well on the head, and fits comfortably and securely. It also wears well over a baseball cap since you can adjust the tilt of the lamp downward. The 3x AAA batteries provide plenty of life. The low setting usually puts out all the light needed. The rear LEDs and strobe function are nice touches.
