TH Marine Designer Series Storage Hatches

  • No visible fasteners
  • Integrated stainless hinges for 180° opening
  • Tough, reinforced polypropylene construction
Cover the access to horizontal or vertical storage areas in an attractive and economical fashion. These watertight hatches have lid-overlapping frames with two separate seals on the frame and lid. There are no visible fasteners for added security. The stainless hinges are integrated into the frames and facilitate 180° opening. The unique cam-type latch system ensures a positive watertight seal. Constructed of a super-tough structurally-engineered reinforced polypropylene that easily withstands being stepped on in the most extreme conditions.

Template problem

The product is fine and is as advertised. But the cutout template is wrong!!!
The cardboard template provided on the box has corners that are roughly 1/4" round but the actual hatch has 7/8 or 1" corners.. The result for me was that the corner screws did not have material to screw into. This is a serious problem because I am using the hatch in an area that must be waterproof. I think i"ve worked it out though.

Sturdy hatch. Easy to install.

I installed 3 of these in the plywood decking of my bass boat. Very simple install. Am impressed by the strength of the hatches. Very pleased and a no brainer to buy these again.

They are not compatible!!

While the construction of this hatch looks great, it does not fit the tempress hatch liner. The screw holes are about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch inside the inner edge of the liner. Probably would work great if you don't need a liner.

This product was simple to install and does keep items and space dry. However, I am giving it 3 stars because the design allows water to build up against the seal and when you open the hatch, water comes rolling into the access area. There is no ability to wipe up the water prior to opening. Otherwise, it does what it is intended to do.
