Custom Hatch

These are the same aluminum hatches used by many of the country's top boat builders. Great for building custom livewells, dry storage and putting wasted space to use. Watertight doors have a built-in drain lip with rubber gasket. Constructed of 1/8" aluminum with full-length hinges, these hatches are durable enough to walk on. Designed with room to add carpet for a customized look. Comes with plastic door pull.

I bought this product for my aluminum boat as an anchor locker hatch, so I have no plans to cover it with carpet. The hatch showed up with a gray powder coating on it and a gray handle, NOT what is pictured on this web site. Now I have to sand the entire thing down and find a black handle/latch. If I had known what I was getting, most likely would not have purchased this.

supper tough and a few mods make them even better

I ordered 2 large and 1 medium hatch and they are great. The medium is in the floor and can handle all my weight no problem. I put the two large ones in either side of the under the gunnel for storage. I ordered slam locks for the hatches and with a few modifications they work great and lock now! I Had the entire 18' boat lined with a spray in type bed liner, as well as the hatches. WOW! They turned out awesome! I highly recommend these hatches. They are so much better than any plastic ones on the market, they are worth every cent.

Great heavy duty door. Don't have any need for carpet so that is not an issue for me. I can't believe any manufacture would send out a product that includes a handle un-assembled and would not include the 4 screws to put it togather, I understand requireing people to supply their own hdw to attach to the boat because of different applications, but the handle hardware? Come on guys!
Heavy enough door for a 300# guy to stand on no problem.

These unit are very will built and are predrilled, as well as the hatch is designed so that you can cover with the heavy carpet. This is a great product, and the I would recommend to a friend.
