My new favorite bait for fall feeding frenzies!

I think I found the perfect lure for when bass are busting shad. Just cast it into a boil, and you're on! When I first got it, I thought the hook was a bit small, but I tried it anyway and I didn't lose any fish. You can always put on a bigger hook, but I'd say no more than one size bigger for this bait (it's smaller than you might think).

During the retrieve, I noticed it flops to one side or the other. Not completely on its side, but it leans. Maybe that was intended to make it look like an injured shad? But I'd prefer it run straight up and down. Since the eyelet is horizontal on this bait, you can't tune it like on a crank. My buddy noticed if you keep making sure the the knot is in the center of the eyelet, it seemed to run more true. I was using it with mono. Have yet to try fluoro with it to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, a great little bait. The bass didn't seem to mind if it leaned!
