I fished these in Lake Powell looking for Strippers or any other bass and they didn't have much luck. The action only works when in a fast retrieve and when in a speedy retrieve I caught fish, but very few, but they are pretty cheap and I didn't fish them too often so I can only give it a 3.

Outsizsed Brown Trout sure like it

I tried these this spring for some outsized Brown Trout and some Rainbow Trout, in the 4" size. I was shocked to see that this bait out fished some of my other more expensive swim baits. As noted by others, the hooks are not excellent, but they are not that bad and for the cost of the bait, I had to rate it excellent.

What a great lure for the Northern Pike! It is a strong, straight swimmer with a lot of movement and tends to perform best at the higher trolling speeds. Like I said, great action on the lure but just be prepared to replace the hooks right off. On my first outing I had to change out the front hook. They seem to bend rather easily in the fish and do not like being set back into place. In otherwards, an instant break... This is a small price to pay however, the war wounds on the lure speak for themselves.

Over all I am happy with this lure. It has great flash, well built, and tracks perfectly when retreved fast or slow. The only negative is the quality of hooks used. The first time out with it, I broke one hook off the front treble hook and on the rear treble the hooks straightened. If the lure itself wasn't so nice I would have returned it because of the hooks, instead I just swapped them out with some of much better quality. The hook problems were on the 4" model. I haven't yet used the 6", so can't say if the hooks are as bad.
If you're looking for a very nice swim bait you should pick one up along with a package of trebles. Best thing is you"ll still save 5-10 bucks over the over priced name brand models.
