The dead-quiet platform takes on the same shape of the popular original, but now in a leaner, lighter version that weighs only 11 lbs. The slightly larger 14" x 12" seat and 21" seat height enhance comfort. The one-piece 26" x 19-1/2" cast-aluminum platform provides plenty of room to maneuver, while its teardrop shape fits in-between a tight grouping of trees. Self-leveling platform and seat, and offset bracket accommodates any tree angle. In-cast bow holder fits most parallel-limb bows. Includes backpack straps. Fits trees from 4" to 22" dia. Stand is tested to TMA standards and includes a full-body safety harness with Suspension Relief System (SRS). Made in USA. Seat height: 21". Seat size: 14" x 12". Platform size: 26" x 19-1/2". Weight: 11 lbs. Weight capacity: up to 350 lbs. Camo pattern:Realtree AP™.
The lone wolf assault is a quality stand to say the least. It is compact and lightweight which makes it easy to pack in and out of the woods. It is rock solid on a tree. I really like having two straps to hook around the tree instead of one. Its also very quiet when you move around or stand up which is a downfall for many other brands of stand. This partnered with the lone wolf sticks are a great combination.
The cast aluminum platform makes this stand extremely light and quiet. This is especially noticeable on those cold calm November mornings when other welded stands I own tend to creak, grown or pop when I shift my weight. I tend to carry this stand with the Lone Wolf Climbing Sticks and the total package is under twenty pounds. The smaller size (compared to the Alpha) stays nicely tucked behind my back and head, and rarely gets hung up on brush. I like this stand combo for getting into some deeper areas on public land I hunt, where mobility can be at a premium. Great when you have to set up and take down your stand each day. I can be up in a tree hunting in about five minutes.
My only major gripe with this stand is that on all day sits it can be a little rough on my back. The cushion is not that comfortable, and the smaller platform leaves me wanting a little bit more leg room. I am 6'2" , 180 pounds, so those hunters who are bigger or looking for more comfort, this probably isn't the stand for you. I plan to remedy this problem by purchasing an Alpha.
On balance, this is my favorite stand. Lone Wolf is a pricy brand, and on private land I hang a few cheaper stands and leave them up all season, but for public land or any time when quiet mobility is needed to dial in the perfect spot over the course of a few sits, this stand is well worth the money.
This stand is solid, well built, and makes absolutely no noise when shifting weight on it to take a shot. I reluctantly paid the premium to buy this American made product but it was a good move. I'm 5'-8" and 180 lb, and I find the platform to be a little small. I must put the seat in the upward position when I stand to take a shot. With the 5 sticks I use it is heavier than my climbing stand and takes longer to set up. However, I hunt on a National Wildlife Refuge where you cannot trim limbs, so the majority of the trees cannot be climbed with a climbing stand. Constantly found myself setting up in non ideal locations because of the lack of limb-less trees suitable for a climber. This stand with the climbing sticks has eliminated that problem. If you buy these products, go to the Lone Wolf web site for good videos on how to use the products.
Ultra light, ultra quiet and ultra easy to hang. The cast aluminum floor of Lone Wolf hang on stands makes them much harder for thieves and poachers to see. Despite being small, weak, having arithitis and possessing my Medicare card, I am able to hang my Assault and put on two straps in less than a minute. It is the answer for tree stand theft victims - I've had six stolen over the years. Did I mention quiet? And light? YES, I'm hooked on this quality!!!
