Never leave home without it!

The 655T is the way to go when hiking, hunting, fishing or just exploring the unknown. The topo maps are an awesome reference point tool to know where you are going and what you might be heading towards.
I was able to sync waypoints at 62 miles apart from another Garmin and hear their hunting story live. Great two way ability!

Great gps, the touch screen makes this extremely easy to use. my technologically illiterate father figured his out in no time. The mapping, routing, waypoint saving, editing and deleting is extremely user friendly. Has more features than I will ever use. The camera is not first class, but I did not buy it for the camera. It is only 5 megapixels and has limited zoom capabilities but it does work. Massive amount of memory very easy to download features off of the garmin website, already loaded the topo 24k maps and it took very little time. The radio has alot of alert options for a wide range of situations. Hunt and fish calendar, sun and moon calendar are very convenient, alarm clock is loud. Will pick up service in my basement within a minute. Outside it picks up service basically when you turn it on, totally customizable. Overall a great unit and tool.

Rino530 100% Better
Date:
The Rino655 is trash when it comes to Bat life the 530 is 100% better and I have used it in combat with out fail and still use the two I have to hunt with and my sons swat team use them as well all Garmin had to do was make Topo Maps for the 530 with weather band and they would have a unit 1000% better than the 600 series

Poor Quality
Date:
Had the Garmin 530 and had to take the battery out many times per day to get the screen to clear. This one I hunted with 3 days and it turned off and would not restart with repeated attempts of removing battery. Started to recharge and it turned on only to die once again on my way up the mountain and could not restart. Also had no handbook and after asking garmin about a simple instruction manuel to I was told to down load from the internet as they were trying to go GREEN!! Why not take a computer to the tree stand with me to navigate??"
