Outstanding!

First off, this GPS is hands down the best gps I have used, period. It is user friendly, quick to capture a signal and startup, fantastic additional features that help you and your hunting buddies out and it doesn't lose the signal in deep canyons. The radio works great even in deep canyons.
I am overall satisfied but here are a few improvement recommendations or things that I do not like:
1.) I don't care for the clipping mechanism or caribeaner. I like the clip from the 610 that has the detachable mechanism.
2.) I like the touch screen but I wish it had a faster way to "mark" waypoints. I like the GPSmaps series that had the actual "mark" button. All you had to do was press it once and it was done.
3.) A device as expensive as this needs a carrying case to protect it. The only one I found was the "Gizmo" which has a cheap clip on the back.
4.) The touch screen is nice, but I am worried that it is one more thing to go out on you. I have not yet used this in the winter and I think this might be an issue when I have to take my gloves off everytime. Also, I am going to put a protective screen on mine before it gets scratched.
5.) I am a little bothered that they didn't add more memory to the 650 like they did the 655.
That being said I would still give it 4.5 stars.
This device has so many awesome features. If you hunt solo, I wouldn't recommend it. I would get an Oregon Map GPS. If you like to hunt with a buddy, it is a no brainer.

Simply The Best...
Date:
Your hours of internet searching are now over. I bought this GPS for hunting because I love my family and want to return to them after every hunt. The unit is powerful, sleek, and user friendly unlike other models in years gone by. I found myself fairly confident in my abilities to use the 650 after only about 30 minutes of flipping through the gps itself and user manual that it comes with. You will want to purchase TOPO maps for your area to compliment the generic maps factory installed. My only wish is that Garmin produced a car charger for the 600 series, which they do not. The ability to send my location wirelessly and instant message others in my hunting party are just a couple of the many applications within the unit.
You will not be disappointed with this gps but if for whatever reason your "that guy", simply return it to any Cabelas.
