Indiana annual hunting and fishing licenses are available for purchase here at Cabela's. You will also receive a free copy of Indiana's Hunting & Trapping or Fishing & Recreation Guide with the state's rules and regulations, and as well as season dates. We've got everything you need in one stop.

Official Deer & Turkey Check-In Station

Check your deer or turkey in at Cabela's this hunting season. Please remember that all harvested deer and turkey must be checked within 48 hours of harvest at an official check station.

November Fly Tying Class Schedule

Beginning Fly Tying Class - Mondays
This class will cover the use of basic tools and various techniques used for different fly patterns. There is NO cost for the class, but you will need your own tools. We are offering a discount on the tools needed for the class. Tools and additional materials are available for purchase in the Fly Shop. We will provide the necessary materials being used in the class each night. The class is limited, so please enroll as soon as possible.

There are two ways this can be done:
1. In person at the Cabela's Fly Fishing Shop
2. Call 219-845-9040 and ask for the Fly Shop

Intermediate Fly Tying Class - Thursdays
This class is the next session after the beginner's course and will still cover the use of basic tools and various techniques used for different fly patterns. However, the difficulty level of the different type of flies will increase as you learn new techniques. There is NO cost for the class, but you will need your own tools. Hunters Education (Certification) Course
Cabela's will be holding another Hunters Education Course, December 5th & 6th. The class will run from 8:30 - 5 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. You must attend both classes for certification.

Learn about hunter responsibility and ethics, Discover how firearms work and learn about firearm safety, Improve your wildlife identification, Game care, Survival and first aid skills, and Develop firearm handling skills and hunting techniques, Increase awareness about wildlife conservation and management.

Hunter education is not just for kids and not just for hunters. The program is for all folks who enjoy the outdoors and have an interest in conservation. The course can also be an excellent refresher for veteran hunters.

Aquarium - Fish Feeding Schedule

Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 p.m.
Days and times are subject to change without notice. Join us at the aquarium for our "feeding frenzy." It doesn't take long for our largemouth bass, crappies, blue gills, northern pike, gar, among many others, to devour the minnows and night crawlers, so make sure you arrive a few minutes early for a good viewing spot!
