Yearling Elk Hair

Yearling elk have a finer hair than mature elk, which makes it an ideal choice for tying elk hair caddis patterns. This fine hair is good for flies all the way down to size 22 and it does not flare like other elk patterns. These come in 12 square inch elk hair patches.
Colors: Natural, Dark Brown, Bleached and Dun.

This particular elk hair is a real good value. So many fly tyers depend upon LIGHT elk hair and this is a big mistake. This elk hair has a smokey blue color to it and it is suited very well for creating very fine flys. I can only imagine the many uses of this dun yearling elk hair. 5 stars for this product. Thanks Cabelas!!
