Gunsmith Screwdriver Set

If you expect to use this screwdriver set to extract tight screws from your firearms, don't. You may check the tightness with these, and if a reasonable effort using these screwdrivers does not loosen the screw, STOP, and go get a set of Grace wood handled gunsmith screwdrivers.
I have broken about 1 out of 3 of these Wheeler screwdriver tips. They are just not made for heavy duty tight screw removal, period. And I find most screws on firearms to be doggone tight and no picnic to loosen. I do not rate these highly at all for "firearm" screwdrivers.

A Well Stocked Set

I have a rather large collection of different firearms and am allways taking them apart to clean and oil them or update them with new parts. Using the Wheeler Deluxe Gunsmithing Screwdriver Set I have found that I don't ever have to get up from my bench and hunt down a different screwdriver or tip. The set come's well stocked with tips made for just about every firearm I own. It also makes scope mounting a much easier chore! As a gunsmith, avid shooter and hunter I can not begin to explain how neccessary it is to have the right tool for every job that's why I bought my Wheeler Deluxe Set!

just what you need for gun repair

when i received this set. i seen it had what i needed to work on my guns . when putting on a scope you need the right screw driver and this set has that. yes some people think you can use this screwdriver set as pry bar . they are not made to do that if you have to. you are doing something wrong . if you have to work on your gun this is the screwdriver set for you. and makes working on your trigger easy-er with the wright screwdriver.

Wheeler Deluxe Gunsmithing Screwdriver Set

I like to be able to do complete tear downs to clean my firearms. With this set of screwdrivers, I have achived teardowns on my Colt 1911, Glock 21, Springfield Armory XD 9 and a friend's 380 pistol so far. It contains a very wide assortment of bits to fit all screw heads perfectly on all those guns. It also has the punch pins (4) to remove all the pins that need removing. It seems to be a very thorough kit. Everything is labeled where it goes, and has a little empty storage bin for little parts. The case is small enough to take with you to the range.
I am very satisfied with this kit and would recommend it to all firearm owners. Remembering 9/11/01, stand up and protect your rights to bear arms. You do need to know how to do teardowns for complete cleanings. The basic field stripping does not not do a thorough job. That is good for "in the field" cleaning only! Get this kit and do it right the first time.
