Chemical fumes

I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. The chemical smell coming from the product is terrible. I left mine open in the garage for a couple weeks, hoping it would dissipate, but it did not. I stripped the foam out, assuming it was the source. Unfortunately, the case still stinks a few months later. The items I keep in it reek of whatever chemical is used.

Other than that, I like the case. It is solidly built and the electronic lock functions as expected.

I would give it 4 stars if it wasn't for that terrible stench.

Bad Odor

I purchased two of these cases. Overall construction appeared to be good but there was an awful odor coming from the foam inside of both. I left them open for 1 week thinking the odor would go away but it didn't so I returned them.

It works pretty good for my purposes.

My only complaint is that the security cable attachment on the inside is not very user friendly, and it isn't very easy to get the cable in and out. It works, but sometimes it is a pain.

Overall, I think this is a good value.

I just bought this product after researching similar ones for a while. My initial thoughts were to go with another security product, but read a lot of reviews that either did not like them at all or had some issues with them. I'm sure they make a quality product, but all that I read they didn't have, Stackon has! Quality construction, very sturdy and I have a lot of faith in the security. I recently bought a gun cabinet from Stackon and was so impressed that I took a chance on this new product. I'm glad I did!
