Both the 1000 and 2000 models offer the security of 16-gauge steel and access codes that simplify entry. Key access is provided, in case you forget the code, and the added protection of a tamper-resistant feature temporarily locks the mechanism after five wrong codes are entered. Lined with protective foam. Operates on AA alkaline batteries (not included). (Security cable not included).

Gun Vault 2000

Great product. I have a small child who is really curious and can get into things really fast before you would know... The vault gives me a piece of mind for my handgun not only for quick access for protection but from inquisitive minds. Also it is a great place to keep other items safe such as jewelry, passports, & extra cash so that it is not lying around the house where they can be misplaced and lost... Easier to access than a large safe...

Serves its purpose

This is a good safe to keep guns out of reach of kids but still easily accessible. Only complaint is there isn't enough room for changing batteries or accessing anything in the back of the safe.
