With nearly indestructible 12-gauge, two-piece plate steel construction; thicker, 1" composite doors that prevent prying and improves fire protection; and a 30-minute fire rating at 1,200°, Cabela's Woodsman Series Safes are the answer to your security and fire protection needs. A strong ball-bearing internal hinge design provides a tight, secure lockup. The S&G lock combines the best of mechanical locks for unmatched security. Five active locking bolts prevent unauthorized access. Relockers, one lock and one external, for added security. Steel gusseted anti-pry tabs. Palusol heat-expanding door seal. Suretight™ handles with slip-clutch technology. Gray fabric 3-in-1 flex interior. Three-point handle.

    Purchased to secure my guns, some ammo, and delicate papers. I also purchased the door panel at time of purchase. I am extremely happy with the safe and only wished that the higher end safes would include a "mechanical lock" instead of the digital. I make my living repairing electronics and therefore do not trust them.
    The door panel installed quickly without issue. However, when the "cool pocket" is full, guns need to be turned slightly to allow door to close.
    Overall a good purchase based on price and comparison to other manufactuers and models. It meets my current purposes.

    I bought this safe on sale for a great deal with the door panel for pistols. Let me just say it holds enough guns and accessories for the above average gun owner. In the next year i plan on buying another one and have one for old guns and the other for present day guns. I would recommend the power kit, D-rod, lock down rope LED's and motion senor lights.
