Great vehicle safe

This is a great purchase for anybody who has to leave a pistol in their car unattended. The safe comes with a nice mounting bracket, so your safe is locked in while you are gone. The safe also comes with a steel cable to attach if you would like.

Two things I would change about this safe:

Make it bigger. The regular will fit a compact sized gun, and the large will fit a standard Glock or Springfield.

Better mounting hardware. When I say the tiny screws the company supplied, I had to go out and get my own. The screws were maybe an inch long.

Overall it is a great safe!

I have owned one of these for close to 3years and like it very much. Could use some improvements, lock set could be better. I would like to be able to buy mounting frame seperatly. My Ruger SR9C fits perfectly with the short mag. Yes I would recommend since I recommended it to Cabelas while employed there.

Exterior dimensions don't help

Be sure to notice that they give the exterior dimensions.

Interior dimensions 7"x5.25" x2" for the standard case. My Sig 2022 won't fit inside, going to have to get the large case.

The vault is ok, it will work well for locking it in my trunk. I will have to change the mounting hardware as they sent screws instead of bolts. Easy fix.

It locks in the bracket securely. The insert could be better, their soft, durable, scratch-resistant interior is a flocked molded plastic insert but it should hold up for a few years.

Overall, for the cost it's a pretty good value.
