After extensive research on safes, biometric and otherwise, I chose this particular one and am extremely satisfied. With two young children in the house, I needed the safest possible unit.
I've only had it about a month now, but after getting it up and running... it has performed flawlessly.

I got it, tried it.. it worked. Unlike the biometric chinees versions i have tried--- this one actually works. I did not understand at first it was the kind you moved your finger... i called the company and when they explained it has worked 100% of the time! One of the instructions was to put the main finger in a couple of times so you don't have to worry about what angle you are coming from to get it open....No way would i remember a code if someone broke in on me and my family in the middle of the night... this on the other had would be easy..can't forget my finger... I try it every morning before I am totaly woke up and ---bam.. it opens.
get it, try it.... love it.

Very well made safe, But...

Yes this safe is made from quality materials that will keep your handgun secure. Maybe too secure. After both my wife and I registered our fingerprints onto the biometric pad as per instructions, we found the system to work. A very careful and consistant swipe of the finger will open the door. Beware however that a swift or sloppy swipe will not access your gun. Only a careful and deliberate swipe will do. Now, that doesn't present a problem for those who want a safe to lock and secure their handgun until they go to the firing range. However for those of us who want their gun in a safe and secure place until needed in an emergency, well this safe is not for you. Think about it: it's 3:00am and you waken up to the sound of a break in, will you have the state of mind to calmly and deliberately swipe your finger to gain access to your defense weapon? I know I won't. When simulated at night, I could not consistantly get this safe to open until I repeatedly swiped my finger accross the biometric pad. That's when I decided to send this safe back.

This truly is the best pistol safe you will find. I purchased quite a few less expensive safes and just returned them as I was not going to put my expensive pistols in such a poor quality product. These 9G safes are made in the U.S., have great customer support, and the product is 1st rate quality. Yes, it's more than others on the market but it is head and shoulders above every other in function & quality. And did I mention it's mafe in the U.S.?
