This old Winchester is in good overall condition, the lever linkage is tight and the action is smooth. The metal surfaces retain case colors on the receiver and some on the lever, most of the bluing has turned to patina and there is some pitting near the end of the barrel. The wood surfaces have some handling marks but there are no major flaws or cracks. The barrel has been shortened at some time during this rifles long life and the muzzle has been crowned. .
