Winchester 1873 .44-40 Winchester. Third Model. The 24" round barrel is dark, but retains some rifling. The sight is step adjustable. The crescent butt has a trap. The lifter is marked ".44 Cal." The dust cover is intact. The stock shows a lot of honest wear, but has not been abused, except for some scrapes on the right side of the fore end. The metal finish is a very dark brown patina. This gun was manufactured in 1891.
