This is a great Gun Cabinet!!! I have read the reviews and feel people may not give it a good review b/c they really didn't know what they were buying...That is a Gun "Cabinet", NOT a Gun "SAFE". You have to write a review based on the product and what it was designed to do. There is a huge difference between a gun “cabinet” and a gun “safe”. I have a great home security system to keep the thieves out, that’s why I opted out of a safe. It does everything it was designed to do and is exactly what I wanted, so I gave it 5 stars.
I originally was going to purchase a smaller unit but I’m glad I didn’t. I would recommend anyone looking for a gun cabinet or safe to purchase 1 size larger than what they think they would need. I was looking for something other than my gun cases and shelves in the basement to store my weapons, ammo, and cleaning gear. Even thou the weapons are in a cabinet, they also have gun locks on every one which is an additional barrier from the kids getting their hands on them. I feel this was a great solution for MY situation. The doors lock well; it’s well built, and easy to move around if needed. The wife is happy that we have an additional barrier from the kids or other friends/family that come over….AND I didn’t break the bank. I even have enough money left over to purchase another weapon:} The only improvement would be replace the foam with a felt material. I didn’t use the foam, and instead, purchased some carpet square and placed those on the shelves, wall and floor of the cabinet. I would highly recommend this to a friend wanting a Gun “Cabinet”.
if you plan for more than just keeping your guns away from your kids.. don't waste your money on this.. theives opened mine like a tin can and got away with all my guns... buy a real safe.. don't end up like me.
Really like this cabinet. Went together great. Have had this cabinet for two years now and highly recomned. Would rather of had a real gun safe but this is what we could afford and wanted put in basement without ten men to get it down the stairs.
