Taco Solid All Purpose Glyde-Sliks

Launch/load your boat without submerging your wheel bearings
Solid Sliks built to last

Load and unload your boat with the ease of roller bunks when you install Glyde-Sliks to your existing carpeted-bunk trailer. The injection-molded polypropylene strips are treated with an anti-friction coating for smooth boat launches and reduced wear on your trailer. Not recommended for use with nonfactory gel-coat, nonfactory bottom paint or riveted hulls (may chip slik). Glyde-Sliks also distribute the weight of the boat evenly to protect your hull. Suitable for use with aluminum, fiberglass and wood boats. Kits include 6-2’ Long Strips. Fits two 6’ Bunks-Single/One 6’Bunk-Double.

Life just got a little easier...

Recently purchased and installed Glyde sticks on my trailer, as launch at my lake is slightly shallow, causing me stress while launching my 18 Larson Fish N' Ski (actually damaged new stainless prop on one occasion).
Those days are done! My boat now launches easier than much smaller craft, and drives onto the trailer almost too easily.
I purchased 2 kits for my boat, found them easy to install (sticks can be cut easily with any saw) and believe they are well worth the price.

The Glyde Sliks work really well. However, some of the hardware (screws) for mounting them were missing.

Taco Solid All Purpose Glyde-Sliks

These Glyde-Sliks work extremely well. I put these on top of the carpet on the bunks of my trailer for my Startos 176XT.

Before, I had to sink the trailer up to the top of the tyre guards to drive off the trailer and similarly to drive on. Took a lot of power from the outboard. There was no way I could launch the boat without using the outboard to power off without backing in even further.

Now, I can release the winch and when I wind down, the boat slides easily without pushing at all. I can now retrieve just using the winch if I can't power on. When driving off I have to go forward to unhook the winch strap and I don't have to use reverse to power off. It just slides off. Fantastic.

The downside relates to quality control by TACO. One of the sections was chamfered on the ends on the wrong side. They don't supply enough screws to fit all the sections. Make sure you check you have enough screws before taking the boat off to fit the Glyde-Sliks. Fortunately I had my lovely wife with me as I had to leave her with the boat, unhitch the trailer and drive to the nearest hardware store to get more screws.
