Cabela's Bunk Guide-Ons

Load your boat even in wind or side currents. Our Bunk Guide-Ons line the boat up straight and keep it that way. Bunks are made of strong injection-molded composite material and durable, polypropylene carpeting. Two-piece design eliminates staples and makes replacing worn carpet easy. Frame is heavy-gauge, 1-1/2" square steel tubing and adjusts as far as 6" on each side. Mounting bracket adjusts to fit a trailer frame up to 2"W x 5"H bracket spacing. Made in USA. Per pair.

Overall quality is good but extension brackets are poorly designed. If the extension brackets are used the support arms must be extended four to six inches further away from the boat than necessary. This makes the whole trailer eight inches to a foot wider than if they simply supplied a flat plate to do the job instead of the 6-inch extension bracket. I junked mine and made four flat plates to do the job and keep the trailer within legal road width limits. Does it make sense to slide the support arms out six inches further than necessary, then extend the bunkers back in six inches with the extension brackets? Give me a break.

The Bunk Guide-ons were easy to install and work great . I would recommend them to anyone that loads a boat by themself or has trouble keeping their boat aligned on their trailor.
