New Tricks for Old Geese
Snow geese were never dumb. Even 25 or 30 years ago when a burgeoning population of mid-continent lesser snow geese began to catch the eye of curious waterfowlers snow geese weren't stupid. Because the goose population was growing exponentially, the swirling tornados of white that would descend with reckless abandon on spreads of diapers, paper plates and newspapers were composed mainly of naïve, immature, juvenile birds that weren't wise or educated to the ways of hunters.
