Hunting The Prince of Game Birds: The Bobwhite Quail
The bobwhite quail, or Colinus virginianus, is the prince of American game birds. There is nothing quite like walking up behind a good setter or pointer locked up on a covey of these little rockets. Cottontop: Scaled quail

Mearns Quail
The wheat-colored foothills of the Animas Mountains in New Mexico's boot heel, luxuriantly carpeted with rank grasses and scattered evergreen oaks are, to say the least, pleasing to the eye. The coveys of Mearns quail that live here add to the beauty.
