Berkley® Gulp!® Minnow Grubs

Combine a natural scent and taste, a lifelike body and fish-shaped head and curly tail for flickering and fluttering action, and you have a deadly new super bait. Berkley's new Gulp! Minnow Grub incorporates Berkley's innovative Gulp! fish-attracting scent and a fat, soft plastic grub body to create a bait that walleye, bass and other predator fish are powerless to resist. These 3" or 4" grubs can be rigged on a jighead, used for tipping off a live bait or drop-shotted. Part of the new line of Gulp! baits, the Minnow Grub's creation is the result of over two decades of research by scientists at Berkley and field-testing by the top anglers in the world. Similar in texture, appearance and scent to real bait, Gulp! baits also possess the color advantages, shape and action of soft plastics. Gulp! baits use water-soluble, natural ingredients that release over 400 times the amount of fish-attracting scent of standard plastic baits. The scent trail is so intense that fish cannot resist it.

Reliable as always
Date:
I have been using chartruese 3 & 4 inch Berkley Gulp Minnow grubs on a yearly fishing trip to Gun Lake in MI for 5 years now and the results are always fantastic. Once rigged on a Mr Twister or Beetle Spin spinner, I have caught & continued to catch nearly every species in the lake: all panfish species, large & small mouth bass, walleye, pike, catfish. Everything will attack and eat this lure. I hope that Berkley contiues to make it...... it has become impossible to find in local retail and bait stores.

Berkley Gulp Minnow Grubs work great
Date:
These grubs are fantastic. Fish gobble them up.
I've caught numerous bass by tying on a Gulp! Grub on a jig head, tossing it out, let it touch, or almost touch bottom, reeling in slightly, and bouncing it back towards me. The bass will take this jig like you were feeding it candy. This simple retrieve on light tackle (4-6lb test mono on spinning) works great, and other fisherman are often left astounded by your "skill".
I caught a nice size lunker in a New Jersey lake the other day, putting to shame other anglers using crankbaits and spinnerbaits and natural earthworms. (My other rod was baited with gulp earthworms, which out fished the youngsters who were trying to catch blue gills and sunnies.)

Many years of fishing, and what a good bait
Date:
I got a smaller pack of these, it is still really cold around here and the fish are not moving anywhere near aggressive. Still caught 6 of them off the bank! They work great when you under weight a jig head and slowly work them in cold water, and the action looks very very good on a slow retrieve, or faster. The body of the bait also keeps panfish from getting hooked up for the most part which is very good when your fishing off of schools of fish. I would very strongly suggest this bait in either white or chartreuse. For the waters around here (michigan)
