This blind set up quick and easy. I'm 5'7 160lb fit good in the blind. But I think if you are any taller it might be tight fit. As for bow hunting its waste of Time in this no room to draw. you are limited to your shooting lane. As for rifle it's great. Crossbow will work but you must have the blind open because the limb will touch the side if you don't. I use excailbur ibex, maybe another brand of crossbow with smaller limbs might work better. Hey for the money you can't beat this.
Have had this blind for five years. I forgot to take it up after last year's hunting season - went back and it was lying down and covered with leaves/mud, etc - I lifted it and restaked it and it is fine. Negatives As others have said, it is difficult to bow hunt out of it. Zippers are not durable - but I mainly keep windows open anyway. For the price it is hard to beat.
This little outhouse blind is a good for the money. It is the second one I've had. Last one was over a year old and doing fine until an F1 tornado hit it. Easy to set up; just chunk it away from you; instant tent. Go to u-tube for easy fold up info. The only thing I could knock it on is it's not sewed very well. It needs something to fill up sewing holes so it won't leak although the first one I had did not leak much anyhow. I put mine up on my 17 foot tripod stand with zip ties which makes me high an dry. Try it. you'll like it. Not too good for bow hunting.
I broke my back 17 years ago. That ended my need for tree stands. I struggled for a few years til the "outhouse" came along - esp. turkey hunting. The first week I had it, I killed 2 birds. I've used it from Louisiana to S. Dakota - hopefully, I'll get to use it on a florida bird one day. I still have the original "outhouse" that I'd bought. If you're deer hunting with one, it's best to brush it in and let it sit where you'll be hunting in advance. An old doe will pick you off fast. As for turkeys, I've had hen's literally scratch leaves up against it while I've looked out the windows at them. The only negative thing I can think to say about them is that the stakes aren't long or stout enough. Buy you some regular tent stakes - they're cheap enough and will hold it in place esp. if you hunt in plains areas where you'll have 30- 40mph winds regularly.I read a review where someone mentioned it was "tight quarters" - I agree but it's plenty of room for a man in a wheelchair. It, however, is the only one that you don't have to stay crouched over in if you are in a wheelchair - that I know of --- plus I'd think it would be to someone who could's advantage to be able to stand up and stretch out. Thanks for a great product Ameristep! You definitely won't hear a negative review of this product from a turkey because unless you missed him, he's dead!
