this grill is really well built and I love it.. I wanted to comment on an earlier post.. the guy that said you have to use the skinny tanks is wrong.. both styles work!! awesome grill!! don't go cheap! get one that will last!! thanks cabelas!!
I bought a weber Q to take with us while RVing. It is great small easy to pack and use. I have hooked it up to the bigger 20# bottles with a 12ft hose. It worked great the first season. Then this summer we were using it at home I couldn't get any heat out of it, and noticed oil dripping out of the control valve.
I called weber and they sent me a new control valve and regulator , free I might add. I installed it and it works like it was brand new.
I believe that my 20# bottle was filled from a dirty tank, and thus fouled the grill valve with the oil.
So beware where you get your tanks filled. I also took apart the old valve and cleaned it for a spare. Weber probably wouldn't recomend cleaning the valve, for safety sake, but I did.
Other than this problem, it is the best grill I have ever owned, and I have had a bunch.
Just bought one of these things and my first meal tonight was fire -blackened salmon. Cooked it to perfection. Now, next week we'll toss the little grill into the boat and head to the lake. Have bergers and brats on the beach without the back injury of trying to lug my regular grill up there! Gonna be good time had by all! Get one!
We have the Q300 for hone so got the Q100 for camping with the trolley. Easy to pack up, clean and great cooking. Just wish Cabelas sold the side tables, they would be very handy!
